风险因素
可能增加患结直肠癌风险的因素包括：
年龄：患结直肠癌的风险随着年龄的增长而增加，大多数病例在50岁以上；
家族史：结直肠癌或某些遗传病（如林奇综合征和家族性腺瘤性息肉病）家族史会增加风险；
个人病史：以往患有结直肠癌或某些类型息肉的人风险较高；
生活方式因素：不健康的生活方式选择（例如加工肉制品摄入量高而水果和蔬菜摄入量低的饮食、久坐不动的行为、肥胖症、吸烟和过量饮酒）都会增加风险。

Background:
Early onset colorectal cancer (EO CRC) is rising worldwide. Epidemiologic studies have shown that diets high in sugar and/or processed foods and limited exercise are associated with EO CRC when compared to healthy controls. However, risk factors associated with de novo metastatic disease are less well established. Identifying such risk factors may provide insight into modifiable lifestyle variables.
背景：
早發性大腸直腸癌 (EO CRC) 在全球範圍內呈上升趨勢。 流行病學研究表明，與健康對照組相比，高糖飲食和/或加工食品以及缺乏運動與 EO CRC 相關。然而，與新生轉移性疾病相關的危險因子尚不明確。識別這些風險因素可能有助於深入了解可改變的生活方式變數。
Conclusions:
In a single center study, in EO CRC patients, high sugar diets may be associated with de novometastatic disease. There were no significant genomic differences detected in patients with de novo metastatic vs. early stage disease.
